Linkinus 1.3 Released! May 31st, 2008

sparkle updater for 1.3

This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for! This is a free upgrade to all 1.x users, enjoy! For those of you who would like to view the release notes, you can see them here. 

The update is available to our current users via the “Check for Updates…” menu item, or you can download it from our website.

Reminder:  Please check back soon for a more in-depth review of the new features brought to you in 1.3 in our Road to 1.3 series.

    Linkinus is the best irc program for MAC that there is.

    I love your new plain text logging, but all my old logs are still in the old format that doesn’t seem to jive with Spotlight. Any chance of a converter program being released that strips out all the formatting? Bonus points if it also archives the old files.

    Linkinus still rocks though, keep up the good work!!!

    @Zweihander: both the next plain-text format and the new style-formatted logs will work with Spotlight. However you’re right, the old ones aren’t indexed. There isn’t a tool to convert all of those to the new format, but you should know that Linkinus will automatically convert any log that you manually open before displaying it on the screen.

    I’m the first one to recommend freeware over shareware for programs that have been largely commoditized like IRC chat programs. But Linkinus is in a class all it’s own. After 15 minutes of using it, I sent in my registration fee. I’m switching to this from Colloquy. It’s that good.

    I’d sell my mother for this irc client. Why isnt it on windows? Its better than mIRC :(

    Linkinus 1.3 is just awesome. It’s a KILLER APP! :-D
